In 1957, a small Saskatchewan farming community became the stage for a face-to-face political showdown betwen the province’s premier, T.C. Douglas, and federal Liberal candidate, Ross Thatcher. A new book by Malcolm Boucholtz tells the tale of the two men’s history, rises to power and the events that culminated in the Great Debate of 1957. Boucholtz joins Gormley to talk about the book, which just launched in Regina.
