The "About the Host" Profile
Meet Your Guide: Mohammed Kedir Abdulkadir
Welcome to the journey through time. I am your host, Mohammed Kedir Abdulkadir, a dedicated history educator based in the heart of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
For the past decade, I have stood at the front of a classroom at Beke Secondary School, doing more than just teaching dates and names. My role has been to bridge the past with the present for young minds, helping them understand the "why" behind our world. This podcast is an extension of that classroom—a space where we explore history not as a series of dusty events, but as a living, breathing story that shapes our identity.
My academic path has been driven by a deep curiosity about our heritage. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Heritage Management from Jimma University, graduating in 2012 with a CGPA of 3.66. This foundation taught me that history is not just about documents, but about the land, the artifacts, and the culture we touch every day. Later, I pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) to refine my craft, achieving a CGPA of 3.7 in 2017, which equipped me with the skills to make complex historical narratives accessible and engaging for students.
Currently, I am deepening my expertise as a Master of Arts candidate in History at Haramaya University. Having completed all coursework with a perfect 4.00 GPA, I am now in the final stages of my thesis research. This academic rigor ensures that the stories I bring to you are not just interesting, but are rooted in thorough research and a passion for accuracy.
