Street culture icon and veteran DJ, DJ 1D is remembered today on Kaya 959 today a year after his passing from Covid related complications This week, Kaya 959 has been celebrating and commemorating the life of the great life of legendary DJ and cultural icon Mzwandile “DJ 1D” Nzimande. He was revered across South Africa as the pioneering co-founder of streetwear and lifestyle brand Loxion Kulture, established in the late 90’s. To remember him, we speak to one of his close friends, Refiloe Ramogase.
