Energy regulator grants Eskom 9.61% tariff increase

In a press briefing on Thursday, the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) announced that Eskom’s tariff increase for the 2022/2023 financial year will be 9.61% and not the requested 20.5%. Energy consultant Liz McDaid suggests that Eskom and government need to to make changes for improved power generation in SA .
