We're taking stock of the talented women who've inspired us with their voices, creativity , grit and grace this Women's day.

It's a public holiday in south Africa. The day has been set aside to remember the almost 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings in protest of the oppressive Pass Laws exactly 66 years ago..

The brazen multi-racial march to the seat of the apartheid government was lead by Lilian Ngoyi, Sophie DeBruyn, Rahima Moosa and Helen Joseph.

in the 66 years that have followed , many other women have emerged as pioneers, trailblazers and remodels…in countless industries - including sport and music.

many powerful women including - US singer Beyoncé - are warning we need to stop buying into the myth that the world has achieved gender equality.

The disparity is particularly evident when it comes to the sports industry.

Here at HotHouse, we’re shining the floodlight on leading women, the impact they have on society and the promises government makes to level the playing field.
