‘I think he misjudged the situation’: owner of truck in Pongola crash

The owner of the truck involved in last week’s horrific Pongola crash, Sabelo Perry Masinga, told TimesLIVE his driver may have misjudged the situation. Masinga said the camera in the cabin of the truck which faces the driver was blocked so they could not see what the driver, 28-year-old Sibusiso Siyaya, was doing. A report by the Road Traffic Management Corporation found Siyaya overtook many vehicles, an action prohibited by no overtaking lines.
