An emphysemic man whose been unable to use his oxygen machine during the constant bouts of loadshedding will be breathing a little easier this Christmas, thanks to Hot1027 listeners.

Debbie and Dennis Nel have been doing their best to cover their expenses on their meagre pensions , but there's no money to cover the cost of an inverter to keep Dennis’s oxygen machine going during the daily state controlled outages..

A family friend nominated them for Hot Cares Christmas and we’ve made a special delivery to make sure Dennis gets the 02 he needs.
