Recent reports have indicated that more and more people are now turning to credit facilities just to make it through the month. With the new interest rate hikes, another loan and increased credit card debt is the last thing consumers need.

This comes after South Africans were forced to make difficult choices as their incomes – already stretched by the pandemic - have not been keeping pace with price hikes, with inflation reaching its highest level in 13 years.
