Various economic factors and challenges like load shedding have meant the rising cost of doing business in the funeral industry. Aside from crime, load-shedding is also putting a strain on funeral parlours. People are being asked to bury their loved ones quickly to avoid bodies decaying, because keeping the cold-storage running during load-shedding is expensive.
