New public protector: the search continues

The parliamentary ad hoc committee tasked with finding a new public protector has endorsed Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka as its preferred candidate. The committee nominated Gcaleka, who has been acting as the public protector since Busisiwe Mkhwebane suspension more than a year ago, after interviews with eight candidates.
