GUEST - Charles Savage – CEO of Purple Group

Purple Group, the owner of retail trading platform EasyEquities, has posted record half-year revenue which it says marks a pivotal juncture on what it believes will be a "milestone year" for the group.

The small-cap financial services group, which has also expanded into asset management and crypto assets, said interim revenue jumped 29.3% to R188.8 million in the six months to end-February. It booked a profit of R10.9 million, from a loss of R10.6 million previously, bouncing back from a dismal prior half year when trading volumes slumped to record lows amid volatility on global markets.
