A full scholarship brings relief to a selfless mother running an NGO

A Brakpan mother - who cares for 26 abandoned and orphaned children – will be able to send her own son to high school next year, thanks to Hot Cares – and our friends at Christian Brothers College.

Phindile Mthembu runs an NGO that’s been waiting for funding from the Department of Social Development for several months now.

As a result, she hasn’t been able to draw a salary and is battling to look after her own family’s needs.
