Replatforming is a huge challenge at the best of times, let alone in the middle of a lockdown and global pandemic. But, in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis, Embark switched Zurich customers onto a new platform systems at the end of April.

In this podcast, Phil Smith, Embark’s chief executive, discusses this platform migration, as well his plans for the Alliance Trust Savings platform, which he decided against migrating during the lockdown.
‘If you put consumers first, use common sense and you are not frightened to change your mind, then these things tend to go okay,’ he said.

Smith, a life-long Rotherham United fan, also chats about some potential good news regarding the league position of his team, which is sponsored by Embark.
