In this episode of Pride Pulse, we explore the current state of LGBTIQ+ rights in South Africa, where progressive laws often clash with deeply ingrained social challenges.

My guest, human rights advocate Motlatsi Clive Motseoile, shares his expert insights on the ongoing legal and social hurdles facing the queer community.

Motlatsi Clive Motseoile is a dedicated human rights advocate and legal expert with over 12 years of experience in the legal, human rights, and corporate sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a pupil member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates, awaiting admission as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.

He has worked extensively advocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTIQ+ individuals through his roles at GALA—The LGBTQ Archive and the Thami Dish Foundation. His work includes advising government departments, NGOs, and corporate clients on policies promoting social justice and equity.

Together, we discuss how far we've come, the remaining barriers, and what needs to be done to ensure genuine equality and inclusion. Tune in for a compelling conversation about the fight for justice and equality across South Africa and the African continent.
