AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini fears for his life and has appealed to President Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene after his security detail was slashed by more than half from 12 protectors to five. According to highly placed palace sources, the king fears that he might be assassinated after he called for an investigation into the financial affairs of the Ingonyama Trust Board (ITB) and amid fresh tensions within the royal family. The team touched on some of the missteps the King has taken since he was coronated and how lack of guidance in his decisions has contributed to the troubles he finds himself in. Moreover, they asked if his fears are justified.
