The reality TV star shot up trends lists after the 23-year-old student, model, artist, football player and barber from Cape Town walked away with the whopping R2m grand prize. Young people went all out to vote for him to clinch the title. On the other hand, it seems young people don't show the same interest when it comes to serious things that matter the most to them. The team deliberated on lower voter turnout during last year's elections, asking, "are young people to blame for not turning up to vote? If you truly believe the children are our future, where does the future of SA lie?"
