EFF leader Julius Malema says his party wants South Africans put first for jobs, regardless of language or connections. “We don’t want to know if you’re a relative, we don’t want to know which language you speak. If you’re South African and qualified, get the job. That should be the position of the EFF councillor. We need to prioritise South Africans and our own constituency”, he said. The EFF leader added that the focus must be on addressing local needs first. The team discussed this about-turn stance by Malema and asked, "is this a change in stance or is it what you always understood it to be? Is it enough to win his votes back?"
