The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) continues its unwavering efforts in combating driving under the influence of alcohol. During the period of 5th May 2025 to 11th May 2025, JMPD officers successfully arrested 154 motorists across the city for operating vehicles while under the influence of alcohol.
These arrests were the result of proactive patrols, dedicated operations at various Alcohol Evidence Centres (AECs), and the diligent enforcement of traffic laws by our dedicated units.
