This week its going to be the start of the stories, interviews and reflections on The Real South African's recent trip to Zambia, Lusaka was our host for the Zatex Travel Show held a the Kenneth Kaunda Centre before moving to the Lower Luangwa and finally to the The sounds of the Mighty Victoria falls The local indigenous name for the falls is Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning "the smoke that thunders". Our first encounter was with the General Manager of Mukayla which is Nestled in the breathtaking Kariba Gorge, where the Zambezi River winds through untamed beauty, www.mukalya.com. Penjani Zulu is a young girl with aspirations beyond her years of introducing theatre and the arts to incoming tourism. The Studio 37 troupe of dancers, actors and artists are looking for support to engage this wonderful initiative. Young people from all over Africa are making their mark. We take our leave of Zatex and head to South Luangwa where we find an abundance of lodges and wildlife and Kafunta Safaris, with co owner Anka Cowan as she takes us through 25 years of growing their brand in the bush. www.kafuntasafaris.com.
