There’s nothing more dangerous than a lie dressed like truth. False hope gives people comfort, but only for a moment. Whether it’s the idea that everyone goes to heaven no matter what, or that the dead can guide the living, deception thrives where truth is unfamiliar. Satan doesn’t always fight faith with fear. Sometimes he replaces it with something that feels “close enough.” But close enough to the truth is still far from salvation.
