ActionSA Takes Minister Gayton McKenzie to SAHRC Over Alleged Racist Comments

ActionSA is taking a stand against racism and taking action against Patriotic Alliance leader and Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie. The party has officially reported Minister Gayton McKenzie to the Human Rights Commission over a series of deeply offensive and racially charged posts on social media. ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says while the party has concerns about the commission’s track record, it’s a constitutionally mandated body and the proper place to start. They’re also ready to take the matter to the Equality Court if needed. This follows McKenzie's use of Apartheid-era slurs and derogatory remarks aimed at Black South Africans. Phemelo speaks to Herman Mashaba about what happens next.
