SANTACO: "No Place for Killers in Our Ranks"

After the shocking murder of an e-hailing driver outside Maponya Mall, taxi association SANTACO has come out strongly against the violence. Mthokozisi Mvelase was killed and his car set alight last Wednesday night. The tragedy has sparked anger in Soweto, with community protests erupting around the mall. SANTACO president Abner Tsebe says any members linked to the attack will be kicked out immediately. Phemelo speaks to SANTACO’s national spokesperson, Rebecca Phala, about what they plan to do next.
