The probe sparked by slain whistleblower Babita Deokaran, revealed R2 billion lost to dodgy tenders and procurement fraud. With 116 disciplinary actions and several criminal cases now heading to the NPA, the pressure is mounting for justice. Deokaran flagged R850 million in suspicious payments before her assassination in 2021. Now, the call grows louder to officially honour her courage. Phemelo spoke with Adv.
