Shoprite Brings Work Closer to Home

In a country where the average worker spends nearly 100 minutes a day just getting to and from work, Shoprite is reshaping what accessible employment really looks like.

We speak to Maude Modise, Enterprise and Government Relations Executive at the Shoprite Group, about how the retailer has managed to get the average employee commute distance down to just 7 kilometres a major leap from its already-ambitious 15km hiring radius.

Faster hiring, better matching between candidates and nearby stores, lower travel costs for employees, and meaningful job creation not just in Shoprite’s ecosystem, but within OTB and its technology, hosting and support partners.
