The merchant in Jesus’ parable wasn’t casually browsing—he was searching with purpose. And when he found the pearl of great price, he didn’t hesitate. He sold everything. That kind of surrender only makes sense when the treasure is truly priceless. Christ is that treasure. But many today settle for lesser pearls: comfort, status, religion without relationship. The question isn’t whether Christ is valuable. It’s whether we see Him clearly enough to give up everything else.
