In Minneapolis, residents are refusing to retreat after the fatal shootings of two people by federal agents. Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has confirmed the country will scale back its G20 participation during the US presidency, calling it a “temporary setback”. This follows Donald Trump’s declaration that South Africa would be excluded from US-hosted G20 events. Phemelo gets perspective from global affairs specialist Dr Terence McNamee.
