Bands in the Brewery is a monthly live music series hosted at 4 Degrees Brewery & Taphouse, launched in 2026 to showcase rotating local talent in a relaxed, vibey setting. The event blends live bands, craft beer, and food like pizzas, creating a social, community-driven atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can enjoy fresh brews from Hopman Brewery and Sweet River Brewery. Tickets are priced at R80 online and R150 at the door, often including a complimentary half-pint on arrival. Located in Salt River’s trendy industrial hub, the microbrewery and taproom is known for live events, tastings, and laid-back hangout spaces, making it a popular, affordable night out that supports Cape Town’s local music scene.

Cherry Vynil, a Cape Town–based indie rock band formed in 2008, is known for their upbeat, feel-good blend of indie, folk, and alternative rock. Fronted by Vickus Horne, they debuted at the V&A Waterfront and built a reputation performing at local venues and festivals. Their 2015 album Busking Cape Town reflects their street performer roots. Sharing stages with Freshlyground and Prime Circle, they’ve released uplifting singles like “Simunye – We Are One” and “Lights.” Renowned for energetic, community-focused performances, Cherry Vynil continues to grow as a proudly South African band promoting connection, positivity, and authentic storytelling.
