"The Right to Dignity" with the CSA & G (Centre for Sexuality, AIDS and Gender team

We had a very enthusiastic team from the CSA & G society drop by the studious, to speak openly about sexual rights, awareness and dangers, and realistic limits in conversation with peers and partners.
CSA & G (Centre for Sexuality, AIDS and Gender) is a university unit focused on sexual health, HIV/AIDS awareness, gender issues, and inclusive health education.

What they do:
Free HIV testing and counselling
Distribution of condoms and sexual health resources
Education on safe sex, consent, and prevention (including PrEP)
Advocacy around gender equality and LGBTQI+ inclusion

Why they matter in 2026:
HIV/AIDS is still a critical issue in South Africa, especially among youth
Rising conversations around consent, hookup culture, and digital dating
Ongoing need for inclusive sexual health services for LGBTQI+ students

Sexual health is directly linked to dignity, bodily autonomy, and human rights .
