Simphiwe’s journey begins in an environment where opportunity was scarce and direction uncertain, where the gap between potential and access is something many young South Africans know too well.
Through building EmpowaWorx, he has turned that lived experience into purpose, creating pathways not just for himself, but for others. At the centre of this is EmpowaYouth Week (20–24 April, Vaal), now in its 7th year, bringing together over 10,000 young people for real exposure, guidance, and access across sectors shaping the future, from AI and the green economy to wellness and entrepreneurship.
