For 25 years, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) has united survivors, advocates and communities in a shared commitment to end sexual assault, abuse and harassment.

This year’s 25th‑anniversary theme, “25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward,” honours the history and growth of the movement while reaffirming our focus on prevention, healing and action.

For 25 years, Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) has united survivors, advocates and communities in a shared commitment to end sexual assault, abuse and harassment.

At the University of Pretoria, Sexual Assault Awareness Week (SAAW) is our campus‑based contribution to this global campaign and to our institutional commitment to a safe, inclusive learning and working environment.

Hulisani Khorombi is an admitted attorney who is currently working as the Specialist - Student capacity building at the Transformation Office. The core work of the
Transformation Office centres around the Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy.
Before taking up this role, she worked at the Centre for Sexualities, AIDS and Gender
as the project manager for the Just Leaders Program. An alumna of the African
Middle Eastern Leadership Project, Hulisani centres her work around
intersectionality. She is currently pursuing an LLM with the Centre for Human Rights.
