Award-winning singer Brenda Mtambo is set to honour the woman who raised her with Amahubo Ka Gogo – The Live Experience, a deeply personal musical tribute to her grandmother.

Taking place in Johannesburg on July 18 and Durban on August 15, the production draws on heritage, faith and legacy through the hymns, prayers and teachings that shaped her upbringing.

In an interview with Sowetan, Mtambo reflected on honouring her late grandmother, embracing her genre-fluid sound and staying true to her artistry.
