Siphiwe Sibeko, popularly known as Picat, co-founded the kwaito group Alaska in 1996 alongside Lucky Mlakana, Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi, Les Ma-Ada, and Andrew Moloisane. The group gained recognition for their energetic performances and music that reflected township life and youth culture in South Africa. Over the years, Alaska became a significant influence in the kwaito music scene, with their songs remaining popular on radio and streaming platforms. Following the deaths of Les Ma-Ada in 2013 and Thabo Tsotetsi in 2022, Picat is now the sole surviving member, continuing to perform and honor the group’s legacy
