Bafana Bafana went head-to-head with Canada on Sunday, 28 June.

After a historic run in the FIFA World Cup, the national team unfortunately lost 1-0 in the Round of 32.

As a result, Bafana Bafana were knocked out of the World Cup.

Even though the nation could not be prouder of the national football team, their loss was understandably disappointing.

Of course, not everyone was disappointed by the result. For some, it even came with a hefty payout.

Canadian rapper Drake revealed on Instagram that he had placed a high-stakes bet on his home country to win.

The ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper wagered $770,000, almost R13 million, on Canada to win. His successful bet earned him a $1 million payout, which is almost R17 million.
