Rodney Trudgeon’s guest on this week’s edition of People of Note is the American conductor and chorus master RAYMOND HUGHES who spent 17 years as chorus master at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and who is now chorus master at the Deutsche Opera in Berlin. Raymond Hughes has worked on four continents, including South Africa, where he was chorus master in Pretoria and in Cape Town. He recently conducted The Messiah in Cape Town where Rodney caught up with him to talk about his fascinating career.
