Convicted rapist Nicholas Ninow's lawyer pleaded with the Pretoria high court to impose a lesser sentence than life imprisonment on Thursday.

However, judge Papi Mosopa was not convinced by the mitigating circumstances that Ninow's defense presented, and found it fit to charge him to with life imprisonment.
