Since the introduction of lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the South African National Blood Service faces challenges that have raised concerns about the blood donation cycle which has led to global blood shortages. ECR has partnered with the SANBS on a mission to collect 400 units of blood in one day. Darren Maule speaks to Sifiso Khoza from SANBS, urging you to donate blood on 6 November and every two months thereafter should you meet the requirements.
