E041 Ambassador Nozipho January-Bardill #WisdomPersonified

--:--
Ambassador Nozipho January-Bardill is the Chair of the Council of the
Nelson Mandela University & UN Global Compact Local Network Board.
She believes that the beginning of wisdom is living consciously, meaning
being aware of where you are, what you are and who you are in any point in
time.
Sis’ Noz, as we fondly call her is serenity, calm personified. Hear her speak
about the injustices of society that make her angry without raising her voice
or any visible change in her demeanour. This is something to behold.
Apartheid, she says, either made you into a better human being or broke you
so that you have so little self-esteem that you gave up. It certainly made her
to be a person of integrity and sharpened her technical competence which
makes her an in demand non-executive board member.
Ambassador January-Bardill takes pleasure in sharing platforms with other
women. Instead of just authoring her own story, she invited women from
twenty- five different African countries to narrate their journeys and
published them in the book Write to Speak which was released in 2021.
Worthwhile to get this book for International Women’s Day, 8 th of March. Be
inspired by stories of resilience, commitment and women doing things to
make the world a better place, at a cost to themselves.
Hope you gain wisdom from this conversation with Ambassador Nozipho
January-Bardill and are inspired by a calm and comforting energy.
