Too much water too late for Eastern Free State crops

Some Eastern Free State farmers have raised concerns about the effect this past weekend’s wet and cold conditions will have on their harvest.
Letuka Maseli, who farms on Cornelia in the Kestell district says summer crops were already distressed after the hot and dry summer, now the rain, which came too late, was also unfavourable.
