Karabo Lediga is an award-winning writer and director known for her emotionally rich storytelling and satirical edge. Her short film What Did You Dream? garnered international acclaim, premiering at Clermont-Ferrand and winning Best African Short at the Durban International Film Festival. With writing credits on Netflix’s Queen Sono and 12 seasons of the Emmy-nominated Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola, Karabo seamlessly bridges genres from spy thrillers to comedy and drama. SABBATICAL marks her first feature film, where she brings a matured voice to themes of silence, family, and identity. A Berlinale Talents and TIFF Writers’ Studio alumna, Karabo is at the forefront of nuanced African storytelling.
