The South African U17 boys’ national team, the Amajimbos, kicked off their 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup campaign in emphatic style on Monday with a solid 3-1 victory against Bolivia in Doha, Qatar.
Following the win, Amajimbos coach Vela Khumalo praised his team’s character for grinding out a victory with ten players, though he warned the workload could take a toll later in the tournament.
