The Toyota Cheetahs lock, Carl Wegner, is set for a landmark occasion on Friday night when his side hosts the Boland Cavaliers in Bloemfontein in the opening round of the SA Cup.
The fixture not only marks the start of the Cheetahs’ season, but also a significant personal milestone for Wegner, who will earn his 100th cap for the Free State outfit.
The second-generation Free State lock told OFM Sport that the milestone is a dream realised, but stressed that the focus remains firmly on the team’s performance.
