SASSA permits only approved deductions via signed affidavits—funeral policies (max R350/grant), bank fees, approved loans. Unauthorised deductions (airtime, loans without consent, excessive fees) violate Regulation 21A; beneficiaries can block via SASSA helpline 0800 60 10 11.
Resolution Steps:
Visit SASSA office with ID, grant pin—demand full refund within 30 days.
