After struggling to find employment following graduation, Dinkie, a Development Studies in Politics graduate, decided to create her own opportunity by launching Dinkie's Kitchen, a home-based pastry business.

Although the idea was born in 2024, the business officially opened its doors this week on Monday. What started as a response to unemployment has become a way for Dinkie to earn a living, pursue her passion for baking, and share what she describes as a God-given gift with others. Her story reflects the growing number of young South Africans turning to entrepreneurship in the face of limited job opportunities.
