Hamilton Dhlamini is an acclaimed South African actor, playwright, director, producer and filmmaker born on 15 December 1969 in Sebokeng, Gauteng. He began his acting career in 1984 and has built an impressive career spanning more than four decades across theatre, television and film. Dhlamini is the founder of Ndlondlo Productions and has earned widespread recognition for his versatility, starring in productions such as Faith Like Potatoes, Isithembiso, Shaka iLembe, DiepCity, Reyka, Queendom, Umlilo, Stokvel, Mzansi and Mzee wa Two Six. His acclaimed performance in Faith Like Potatoes earned him a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for Best Supporting Actor, while his work in Ten Bush won him a Naledi Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also received a Golden Horn Award for Best Actor in a TV Soap for his role as Banzi Motaung in Isithembiso. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned theatre practitioners including William Kentridge, Handspring Puppet Company, Mncedisi Shabangu, James Ngcobo and Prince Lamla, performing in internationally acclaimed productions such as Woyzeck in the Highveld, Nongogo and multiple productions of Woza Albert!.
