Today marks World Suicide Prevention Day, and this year, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, SADAG, is reminding us of something incredibly simple but potentially life-changing: every conversation counts.

Sometimes, we don't need the perfect words. We don't need to have all the answers or know exactly how to fix someone's problems.

Sometimes, we simply need to notice when someone isn't themselves and ask: “Are you okay?”
