Uncertainty still high for long-term weather forecasts

OFM News’ agri editor Sabrina Dean speaks to an agro-meteorologist with the agriculture department’s climate change and disaster management directorate, Kentse Setshedi. They discuss the latest advisory from the National Agro-Meteorological Committee. Long-term forecasts are pointing towards above normal rainfall for mid-summer but Setshedi warns that there is still a lot of uncertainty. She provides an overview of what has been happening, what some of the predictions are and also provides some suggested strategies for farmers to follow:
