Six family members killed in house fire in NW

Six family members have died after their home caught fire in Phohung Section, Ganyesa on Wednesday night.

North West police spokesperson, Pelonomi Makau says a 73-year-old man, his 35-year old daughter and four children between the ages of three and nine, were sleeping in their one-roomed house when a bed in which the daughter and children were sleeping caught fire. They burned to death. The father allegedly died of smoke inhalation.
