Four sentenced to life for rape

Klerksdorp - Four men have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the gang rape of a 50-year-old mother and her three daughters in Klerksdorp. The alleged members of the “Dog for Money” gang were handed four life sentences each for the crime in a sitting of the Northern Gauteng High Court in Klerksdorp, yesterday. According to the police's Sabata Mokgwabane, one other accused was sentenced to 22 years imprisonment for burglary and robbery. The woman’s sons were threatened with knives during the incident according to Mokgwabane. The names of the accused were not revealed in order to protect the identities of the victims, including a minor.
