The National Prosecuting has confirmed that a raid underway at the Gupta's Saxonwold compound today, relates to a Restraint order obtained by the NPA on Wednesday.

NPA spokesperson, Luvuyo Mfaku, said that the restraint order was for more than 250-million rand against the assets of several individuals and entities who were implicated in the Estina Dairy Project in Vrede in the Free State.

Seven people, including a member of the Gupta family Varun Gupta, appeared in court in February on charges of theft, fraud and money laundering.

Mfaku says the restraint order is a result of ongoing criminal investigations by the Hawks.
