What if You’re Not Failing... What if You’re Simply Out of Capacity?

There is a growing sense that everyone is carrying more than they were ever designed to. More pressure. More expectations. More noise. More demands. And yet, despite working harder, resting when we can, and trying every productivity hack under the sun, many people still find themselves running on empty.

That is exactly what we unpack on this week's episode of Good Things with Brent Lindeque, where I sit down with Jaxheartist (Jacqueline Allschwang), a Capacity Architect, coach, and the co-founder of the Soul Healing Community, for a fascinating conversation about something many of us have never stopped to consider: our capacity.

Jax's story is one of rebuilding. After losing a thriving business, experiencing burnout, and finding herself facing what she describes as a complete collapse of her internal systems, she set out to understand why so many high-performing people find themselves exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from their own lives. What followed was years of research, learning, and creating practical frameworks to help others move from depletion to wholeness.

"Most people assume exhaustion is a willpower problem. It isn't," says Jax. "When the nervous system is chronically dysregulated, cognitive clarity drops, emotional resilience erodes, and the ability to show up fully in work, relationships, and life disappears."

During the conversation, we explore what Jax calls a "global capacity crisis", with many people operating in a constant state of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn while trying to navigate an increasingly demanding world.
